Jennifer AdamsJennifer Adams is the author of more than fifty books. Her bestselling BabyLit board books, illustrated by Alison Oliver, introduce small children to the world of classic literature and have sold 2 million copies.

She has written a series of board books My Little Cities, illustrated by Greg Pizzoli, and a series of board books My First Ballet Books, illustrated by Corey Egbert.

Jennifer has also written picture books for children, including I Am a Warrior Goddess, which celebrates girls’ innate power and influence, and I Am a Kindness Hero, which shows boys that true strength and leadership comes from treating those around you with love and respect. How Do I Love Thee? is a lyrical retelling of Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s poem.

Her books for adults include Y is for Yorick, a slightly irreverent look at Shakespeare, and Remarkably Jane, notable quotations on Jane Austen.

A Book, Too, Can Be a Star, a picture book biography of Madeleine L’Engle is scheduled for Fall 2022. It’s written with Charlotte Jones Voiklis, one of Madeleine L’Engles granddaughters, and illustrated by Adelina Lirius.

Jennifer¬† has 25 years of experience in the publishing industry, including as an editor at Gibbs Smith and Quirk Books. She currently works as an editor for Sounds True, managing their children’s line.

She received an undergraduate degree in English literature at the University of Washington and is currently pursuing an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts.

A lover of animals, nature, bookshops, letterpress printing, cooking, live theatre, and road trips, Jennifer feels lucky to have a life that includes all those things. She works weekends at her local independent bookstore, The King’s English, and lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, Bill Dunford, who is also a writer.
